Statement of Faith
We believe that the Bible is the truly inspired Word of God, that it is fully accurate, and that it contains the wisdom of God that we need for our lives. As we read the Bible, the Holy Spirit instructs our hearts and minds to understand God's eternal truth and shows us how to apply that truth to our lives today.
We believe that this world and all of its inhabitants were created by our loving God for eternal fellowship with Him. Man, by his sin, has become separated from God, and only through personally accepting the gift of reconciliation purchased by Jesus at the cross can we regain fellowship with God. We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and only through Him may people find peace with God.
We rejoice that God has adopted us as His children. We know that when we die we will be with Him in heaven forever. We look forward to worshipping Him with the multitudes from every tribe and nation. We believe that He has given us the task here on Earth to enable others to hear the Good News that their Creator longs for them with an immeasurable love, and that He has made a way for them to be reconciled to Himself.
Managing Doctrinal Differences
As a non-denominational institution, Cardinal Academy seeks to unite families around essential Christian truths without favoring any particular denomination. We have no denominational or doctrinal agenda. We introduce your children to God the Father and Creator, Jesus our Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit. It is our goal to provide a program that helps parents disciple their children. We leave the interpretation of biblical doctrine to each family as God leads them.
We utilize the My Father's World curriculum, which has a Christian biblical worldview. We don’t teach the Bible as a single, separate subject. Instead, you will find biblical content directly (and thoroughly) integrated throughout the entire program. God made this world and everything in it, so we acknowledge Him and look for God’s truth in every subject.
Stance on Cultural Issues
We affirm that God creates every human being in His own image and that all people – male and female of every nation, tribe, and tongue - are fearfully and wonderfully made as bearers of His likeness, possessing inherent dignity and worth (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 139:13-14). I affirm that God creates each person as male or female – and these two distinct, complementary genders are immutable assignments determined by biological sex at birth/creation (Genesis 1:26-27). We further affirm that Marriage is defined exclusively as the uniting of one man and one woman in a lifelong, covenantal union, as delineated in Scripture (Genesis 2:18-25; Matthew 19:4-6). We affirm that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only within this context (and all forms of sexual immorality, including homosexual behavior and sex outside of marriage, are contrary to God’s design).
Academy teachers, administrators, and leaders are required to provide annual attestations to their personal faith, which includes commitments regarding personal conduct and agreement with the Academy’s core beliefs. Additional information regarding this process is available upon request.
